I made 2 cookie trays worth of this the first time. 2 \u00bd cups doesn\u2019t go far to satisfy our love of veggies.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>4 cups Brussel sprouts, trimmed and quartered<\/p>\n<p>3 shallots, quartered<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd to 1 cup stock<\/p>\n<p>1 cup pistachios<\/p>\n<p>splash of white wine or vermouth<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc tsp black pepper<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc tsp red pepper flakes<\/p>\n<h2>Directions<\/h2>\n<p>Spray a baking tray (or 2).<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, mix all ingredients. Spread them out on the tray.<\/p>\n<p>Roast in the oven. The original recipe said 30 minutes, but when I put on convection, they seemed done in 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>They were very soft, but not very browned or crispy. The recipe suggested tossing a little stock before serving, but our sprouts were still moist.<\/p>\n<p>The recipe suggested using the broiler to make the leaves crispy, but I prefer them not burnt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From a Whole Foods magazine about making holiday traditions healthy.
